Sometimes you are fascinated by exactly those countries that you would not have expected. After a short time Jordan has already risen to my top 10 favorite countries. And here now my video about ten wonderful days in this country. It’s bigger and more beautiful on Vimeo.
The desert. I don’t know yet why it fascinates me so much. Maybe it’s because there you concentrate on the essentials. Free from materialism and the fast-paced online existence. At last you don’t have to look at your mobile phone all the time, you don’t have to make loud and permanent noises around you and you just have to enjoy the time in a beautiful place with hospitable people.
I didn’t just fall in love with Jordan because of its fascinating scenery! Many things are very different from our culture and yet it is possible to get a personal insight into the life of the Jordanians and Bedouins. A mixture, which one may experience rather rarely in a foreign country. There are many things I would have liked to see or experience, e.g. diving in the Red Sea, visiting the Mujib Biosphere Reserve, the ancient city of Jerash in the north and Dana Village.
