Often the dessert is forgotten while barbecuing. But I didn’t know before that you can make great desserts with the BBQ. Until we ate these great oranges with brownie filling with friends a year ago. Once you’ve eaten them, you won’t leave the barbecue dessert out in the future.
BBQ Recipe: Oranges with Brownie Stuffing
Since the oranges take about 45 minutes to an hour, you’ll probably have some room in your stomach for a great dessert. Or you can just timed the preparation a bit earlier during the barbecue.
You ingredients for the oranges with brownie filling
For 4 persons
70 g sugar
80 g butter
30 g cornstarch of corn starch
200 g dark chocolate
70 g nuts
A pinch of salt
How to prepare the oranges with brownie filling on the grill
First of all, the filling has to be produced. Melt the chocolate together with the butter in a water bath. Let the mixture cool down a little.
Then stir in the sugar and eggs with a whisk and add the starch and salt while stirring.
Then chop the nuts into small pieces. Cut off the top of the oranges and hollow out the oranges. It is not bad if some of the flesh is preserved. Then fill the brownie mixture into the orange and top everything with a few nuts. Put the orange lid back on and wrap the oranges well in aluminium foil. Remember the top.
Now put the oranges on the grill. Between 45 and 60 minutes the chocolate mass gets as thick as a juicy, airy brownie. You can also put the oranges directly between the charcoal. Then it goes a little faster. Make sure that the oranges are in the right direction so that the chocolate mass doesn’t run out.
And then you can spoon out the delicious oranges and enjoy them.
